DC-Bearing

The DC-Bearing program is used to perform the general ground failure verification for rectangular, circular and strip foundations for horizontal and inclined ground surface conditions with a multi-layered soil structure in the horizontal direction. The available calculation methods are either in accordance with the relevant standard or Terzaghi or Brinch Hansen. Different construction stages can be considered in the calculation as excavation stages with slopes.

Description
  • Rectangular, circular and strip foundations with optionally inclined foundation base and representation of the column/wall and the base plate
  • Variable horizontal soil stratification, calculation with weighted stratification parameters (no limitation to +/-5°)
  • Horizontal and inclined ground surface
  • Optional representation of different construction states as excavation stages with slopes
  • Entry of groundwater levels to consider buoyancy
  • For the accurate internal modelling of the structural system (e. g. ground surface and soil stratification), it is possible to import DXF graphics as a background
  • Several load cases with vertical concentrated loads, horizontal loads in the x- and y-directions and concentrated moments about the x- and y-axes, consideration of earth pressure and earthquake loads
  • Selectable calculation methods according to the relevant standard, Terzaghi and Brinch Hansen
  • Calculation of the safety, failure load or permissible load
  • Calculation of the failure load and the safety for different foundation widths and depths
  • Detailed output of the individual load cases as text and graphics
  • Tabular output with different foundation widths and depths
  • Output options: printer, PDF
  • Interfaces: RTF export to MS Word, graphic export in JPG format, DXF export
